The work AE-11 (Aggressive Experience) transforms the exhibition space into a shooting range where the audience can destroy the artist’s works. In this innovative and interactive paintball field, the audience is encouraged to shoot down moving targets, transforming Huang Shih Chieh’s creations into objects for destruction. The work echoes Jasper John’s painting Target and its theme of art representation – as the audience attack the artworks, they are accepting and embodying the artist’s creative concept.
